There is a $25 administrative fee for withdrawal prior to the event deadline date.  A person withdrawing from the event after the deadline date will not receive a refund regardless of reason, including those personal or medical in nature.  By entering in the event, you have agreed to all decisions and policies made by the SCPGA and Southern California Open Committee.  The player agrees that certain risks are inherent to the game of golf and accept personal and sole liability for all such risks.
While on host facility property during qualifying or championship rounds; players and caddies shall conduct themselves in a professional manner.  The SCPGA reserves the right to remove a player from the competition for; non-competitiveness, conduct unbecoming a professional by the player; conduct unbecoming a professional by the players' caddie.

In situations involving adverse weather conditions or any other occurrence or condition, our first priority is the completion of the competition.  Every effort will be made to achieve this objective by the end of the scheduled competition day.  In the event the competition cannot be completed by the end of the scheduled competitive day, play will be extended.  Every effort will be made to complete the competition as soon as possible and this may include the following day(s) or future date to be determined.
 
Amateurs must carry an index of 2.4 or below at the time of entry.

Exempt from Qualifier:

  • PGA Professionals & Apprentices
  • Past California State Open Champions
  • Past Southern California Open Champions
  • Players making the cut in the 2018 Southern California Open
  • Players making the cut in the 2018 California State Open
  • Top 10 from Golden State Tour Point List (as of Dec 31, 2018)
  • Top 10 from SCGA Point List (as of Dec 31, 2018)
  • 2018/2019 PGA TOUR and Web.com Tour members
  • 2018 SCGA Amateur Champion
  • 2018 California Golf Association Champion
  • 2018 CIF Boys State Champion
  • Top 3 finishers from the 2018 Inland Empire Amateur

156 player maximum fied size. There will be no exceptions and field will not be expand.

Players shall present a neat appearance in both clothing and personal grooming.  The Tournament Director shall interpret this regulation in all individual cases.
 
Contestants must wear slacks and proper golf attire, SHORTS ARE NOT ALLOWED during the Championship, however are allowed during qualifying stages.  Denim, cargo pants, and t-shirts are NOT allowed. 

Caddies:  While on the host facility property, caddies may wear either long pants or tailored solid colored knee length shorts.  Blue jeans, cutoffs, T-shirts or shirts with no collar shall not be worn.  Smooth rubber sole shoes are required. Sandals, open toe shoes, and golf shoes with traditional metal or soft spikes are prohibited.

March 26-27:

Eisenhower Course - 1st & 10th tees: 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (Subject to change)

Zaharias Course - 1st & 10th tees: 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (Subject to change)

*Players will switch courses for Day 1 & Day 2*

March 28:

Industry Hills Golf Club

Eishenhower Course

1st & 10th tees: 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (dependent on number of players making cut)

Players may ride in golf carts during the Championship.  Caddies are also allowed to ride, provided there is room.

Maximum of 2 carts per group.

SPECTATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RIDE.

***All players making the cut will receive a check / scrip. W-9's will be required prior to beginning play on Thursday for all Professionals making the cut. Forms will be available on the tees and at the Scoring table.

Distance Measuring Devices that measure distance only are permitted during the Southern California Open.

Pacific Palms Resort, located on property of Industry Hills Golf Club, will serve as the Official Lodging Host for the Southern California Open.

Nightly rate is TBD. When booking you must identify yourself as a SCO contestant.
