BEAUMONT, California – Brianna Do of Lakewood is crowned the Women's California State Open Champion with rounds of 65-70 for a 36-hole total of nine under par, 135. The Lakewood, CA native was five strokes clear of the field and Karah Sanford’s two day total 139.

Do, the UCLA Alum, led the pack after 18-holes firing an impressive bogey free round of seven under par. Nipping at Brianna heels was Karah Sanford of Escondido, who also carded a bogey free round of five under par in round one.

Going into the final round, the weather at Morongo Golf Club was exceptional with a mild breeze and temperatures in the high 70's. A total of 12 players were sitting at even par or better after the first round with several outliers to make a run for the title. As the first round leader, Brianna continued her great play carding a steady one-under on the front nine and keeping a couple stroke distance from Sanford. Do never took her foot off the pedal staying steady on the back nine to close out with a final round of two under par 70 for the Championship. Playing solid all tournament long was the second place finisher, SCPGA Junior Tour Alumni Karah Stanford, who posted a two-day total of five under, for a 139. Low Amateur honors was awarded to Victoria Smith of Wildomar, posting a two-day total 142. Congratulations to our champions!
